How it works

Set it up once. The whole family stays in sync.

Team apps make every parent, grandparent, and kid subscribe to each schedule on their own. With GamePlan, one person connects the team, and everyone sees it in the Calendar app they already use.

One team app's schedule goes into GamePlan, which puts it on the calendars of Grandma and Grandpa, Mom, Dad, Lucy, Anna, and Jonah
01 Copy your team’s calendar link
TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, and most school and club sites offer a link to subscribe to their schedule.
02 Paste it into GamePlan
Pick whose calendar it belongs on, like Emma’s or Jack’s. GamePlan shows you the events before you save.
03 Everyone stays up to date
Games, practices, and changes show up on every shared calendar. Nobody else has to install anything.

Features

Always know what changed, and when.

Fields move, games get rescheduled, practices get cancelled. GamePlan keeps up, and tells you what’s different.

Hear about changes first

When a game moves or a practice is cancelled, GamePlan sends a notification that says exactly what changed.

See exactly what changed

Every sync records what was added, moved, or cancelled, with the old and new time and place side by side.

Every team at a glance

See each team’s next event, its season, when it last synced, and its recent changes in one place.

Works with any calendar link
If a team, school, or club offers a calendar subscription link, GamePlan can sync it. Sports, school, work, or anything else.
Import a printed schedule
Only have a PDF or a paper handout? Take a photo or pick the file, and GamePlan turns it into calendar events.
Syncs in the background
GamePlan checks your teams throughout the day without you opening it. Swipe a team to sync it right away.
Only one person needs the app
Everyone else just opens Calendar on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Grandparents included.
Organized by person
Each team goes on the calendar you choose, in that calendar’s color, so it’s clear who needs to be where.
No account to create
No sign-up and no passwords. Your schedules live in your own iCloud calendars.

Family setup

How to set up your family’s calendars.

GamePlan works best with one shared iCloud calendar for each person. It takes a few minutes in the Calendar app, and you only do it once.

Why not the built-in Family calendar?

It puts everyone’s events in one color, with no way to see one person’s schedule. A calendar per person keeps the week easy to scan, and lets each of you hide what you don’t need.

  1. 1

Create a calendar for each person

In Calendar, add an iCloud calendar for each child, like “Emma” and “Jack,” and give each one its own color. Parents can have one too.

  2. 2

Share each calendar with your family

Invite everyone who needs to see it. Let parents edit, so they can add events too. Kids without a device don’t need an invite.

  3. 3

    Add each team in GamePlan

Paste the team’s calendar link and choose whose calendar it goes on.

  4. 4

    You’re done

Everyone you invited sees the games and practices in their own Calendar app, and GamePlan keeps them current.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does everyone in my family need GamePlan?
No. Only the person who adds the teams needs the app. Everyone else sees the events in Calendar on their own iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Where do I find my team’s calendar link?
Look in your team app’s schedule for an option like “Export,” “Subscribe,” or “Sync to calendar.” Copy the link it gives you, which usually starts with webcal:// or https://.
How often does GamePlan sync?
Several times a day in the background, and again when you open the app after a couple of hours. iOS decides exactly when background syncs run, so you can also swipe a team to sync it right away.
What happens when the coach changes the schedule?
The next sync updates the event on everyone’s calendar, and GamePlan sends you a notification saying what changed.
What does it cost?
GamePlan is free for one team. Unlimited teams costs $1.99 a month or $15.99 a year in the US.
Something isn’t working. Who do I ask?
Email [email protected] and a real person will get back to you.
